Fellbach, the bus and Esslinger Burg for lunch

Saturday morning coming out of the hotel, sadly I would have to return shortly for a nap.
Milling around waiting for our bus.

Pete in downtown Stuttgart, warm and sunny, the weather not Pete.

The loading of our bus and trailer.

Henry starting our walking tour.

The team arrives for lunch. Henry, Conny, Roger and Dennis.

Cari, Steve Buck, Doug, and Gary.

Brian, Al, George and Wayne

Dave Middaugh (waving) and Pete.

Ian and Dave Mac.

The start of it all

Brian on the plane.

A few drinks in the Heathrow airport bar.

Dinner at the bar in Fellbach.

I believe that Brian was teaching a new post surgery technique.
Pete, Ian, Dave and Ebi.
A little late dinner at the bar attached the hotel (Apart Fellbach).

A little Jaeger on Ebi's patio (shortly before the arrival of the local police).

A group hug was the only way for some to stand up.

It was only a short walk home from Ebi's, but at 4:30 AM no one is quick. Roger and Doug and a slight tilt to their walk and decided to call it a night. Meanwhile Brian, George and myself thought maybe some pizza at an allnight bar was the right thing to do.

6:00 AM Saturday morning, Ian, Ebi and George with Brian taking the picture.

Hockey - vs Ebi and Henry's team

Our first game was a great comback success as we were down 5 - 1 and won 11 -10.

The whole crew.

The Easy Street Hawks.

Over 100 years of hockey experience with these two wiley veterans.

Dave getting ready for the big match.

Two of our Brampton imports - Pete and Dave.

It seems the guys aren't all focussed in the same direction, I know Gary and Roger were looking for the beer, Dennis was thinking about his 4 goals and Doug was looking for the girls.

Wayne is all smiles after the game while Dave is onto the next endeavor - BEER!

Game 2 - Erding

Our second game was played in Erding against Frankie's Pink Panthers. We had gotten over the jet lag and were skating comfortably with the German beer - final score 17 - 4. Pete F had 6 goals in this game.

Frankie always the good sport stops by for a photo - op with Brian and myself.

A between periods break. This game consisted of two halfs with the visiting team looking into the sun during the entire game.

Brian is alwys ready to pose for the camera.

Game Three - Freiburg

We had such high expectations for a sweep in Germany, that lasted until we took to the ice for the warm-up and watched the other team.

The majority of the game was played in our end.

The score board tells the story as we headed into the drssing room for a break between periods. We played 3 20 minute stop time periods, I think 3 3 minute running time periods would have been to our advantage.

Dave Mac looks on as Dave says a quiet little prayer.

It wasn't pretty but no one was injured and then we had BEER.
